Yes, we're under construction but glad you dropped by!

Home Care Information Network is preparing to deliver home care's most sought after speakers to your desktop using the latest in Internet technology. As we are preparing this site - which will serve as your gateway to the world of on-line video education - we will be offering sneak previews of future programs. Even more important, we will also be seeking your ideas for speakers and programs we may have missed! So please bookmark this page and stop by again.

Example Video Presentations

In spring 2005 Stony Hill Management, Inc. recorded a four-part video presentation on the HIPAA Security Rule. Produced with the same technology, and studio conditions similar to those of HCIN presentations, this video clip offers an excellent example of the quality and presentation style that will soon be available here. You can view part one of this by clicking here.

The November issue of Home Care Automation Report included an article describing HCIN, the technology used to develop HCIN video presentations, and survey results from viewers of the HIPAA Security Rule presentation. Anatomy of the Training Stage

Presentations found on HCIN use a screen layout that simulates a familiar educational setting with a simultaneous view of the speaker and slides. Here are some of the standard screen components:

  1. Video of the speaker.

  2. Slides just as they would appear in a live presentation.

  3. Controls to stop, start, pause, fast forward or rewind the presentation and for setting the volume level.

  4. Information about the speaker and a link to the presentation handouts.

  5. More controls such as slide selection if you want to re-enter a presentation at the slide you were last viewing.
