As partners in OWC, John and Vita seem to agree only on those matters that have significance... She thinks John is an arrogant old guy who has a pre-occupation with golf and dreaming of women who will never acknowledge his existence - she's roughly 65% right. While John thinks his partner Vita would be fun to take into the bushes to the right on hole #4 to discuss politics, wine, and philosophy.

Either way... they are both on agreement on the 2004 Larkmead Vineyard Napa Valley Estate Cabernet Sauvignon (8% Cab Franc and Petit Verdot). Vita said, "Wow, I thought the 2003 rocked; but this one is even more texture-driven, fruit-forward, and spectacular on that little wet spot in the center of the tongue called mid-palet..." While John said, "Wow, I thought the 2003 rocked; but this one is even more texture-driven, fruit-forward, and spectacular on that little wet spot in the center of the tongue called mid-palet..."

By the way... back in 1875 a young lady named Lillie Hitchcock Coit (Coit Tower in San Francisco was donated by her estate to honor firefighter) planted this vineyard and sold grapes for $14 a ton ( one ton = 25 cases  = 300 bottles = 4.66 cents of fruit per bottle... how times have changed).
