In tough economic times the common perception of ?gotta get cheaper stuff? usually becomes the catalyst for a self-fulfilling prophecy ? driving prices down is always good when quality remains static and labor is not sacrificed. That being said; the following wines were selected cause? their prices are in perfect balance with their pleasure ? giving values. I like to think of the purchase of an appealing bottle of wine like a ?first date? ? but then again, I have an over-active imagination
Selling wine would be so easy if all people had the same opinion as us... but NO!... you guys (a generic term that does not imply masculinity) just wanna make us guys (see above) do some work (a generic term that does imply superiority over the following generations)

We absolutely hate alphabetic listings, listings based upon price, ratings, relative size, vintages, or most any logical criteria... What follows is strictly random based on my throwing the names into a bowl and pulling them out... one-at-a-time.

From Cathy Corison, her 04' Napa Cab (95 pts) that drink well now (with swirling, aerating, or decantering) but will be awesome from this autumn forward another 4-6 years... 100% Cab that is virtually opaque.

BUT HEY; you say, WHAT ABOOT (for or Canadian Customers) US WHO DON'T WANT SPENDY WINES...
                   WE NEED SOME STIMULUS!

(Stim-u-lus; noun:something well-meaning but ill-conceived that applies only to those who will not use it correctly)

BROADSIDE... a 2007 Paso Robles Cabernet that is, quite simply the best 20-buck Cab we have seen in years

La Ventina 2006 Montepuliciano d' Abruzzo... plenty of color, flavor and depth...
